Bold Modern Autumn Wedding at Conservatory at One Sansome, San Francisco

Vicky & Alex envisioned a bright, bold, and playful take on autumn for their November wedding at the Conservatory at One Sansome in San Francisco. Instead of the typical moody fall palette, they wanted vibrancy, energy, and personality to guide the design. And so, we leaned all the way in.
One of the most meaningful aspects of this project was the deep trust between the couple, their planner, and our studio from the very beginning. That trust created space to experiment, collaborate, and pivot when needed, allowing creativity to lead the design rather than constraints. This wedding was a masterclass in letting personality shape every detail.
Vicky & Alex’s wedding was bold, vibrant, and deeply intentional. A reminder that seasonal doesn’t have to mean predictable, and that the most impactful designs come from clarity of vision and fearless collaboration.

THE VENUE: CONSERVATORY AT ONE SANSOME
Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, the Conservatory at One Sansome is an ideal backdrop for couples who want something elevated, architectural, and modern.
Some of my favorite features of this space:
Dramatic historic architecture
Soaring glass ceilings
Plenty of natural light (especially for daytime events)
An open floor plan and a blank canvas for bold floral designs
This venue really truly transforms when paired with expressive, high-impact florals.
THE PALETTE
This design challenged the typical fall wedding formula. Instead of stopping at rusts and burgundies, the palette leaned bright and saturated, proving that autumn doesn’t have to be dark or muted.
Some of the colors incorporated: lilac, fuchsia, hot pink, blush, magenta, apricot, and amethyst.
THE FLORAL INGREDIENTS
Layers of texture and varied hues brought the palette to life. We used golden raintree pods, anthuriums, peonies, gerber daisies, hanging amaranthus, sweet pea, calla lilies, and multiple varieties of orchids (the bride’s absolute favorite). The overall effect was fresh, energetic, and perfectly aligned with the couple’s joyful vision.
MIX & MATCH DESIGNS
Mix-and-match bridal bouquets and tablescapes introduced a playful, personalized touch. Each bouquet had a distinct shape and color palette, reflecting the individuality of the bridal party while maintaining a cohesive overall look. The tablescapes mirrored this approach, featuring modern, edgy vessels and a carefully curated mix of floral ingredients. Together, these elements created a vibrant, dynamic atmosphere that felt intentional, approachable, and effortlessly joyful.
